Terms and Conditions – Bookings
Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to establish clear terms and conditions for hotel bookings which includes the handling of deposits, cancelations, refunds, change of dates and ferry cancellation policy.
Scope
This policy applies to all hotel room bookings.
Deposit / Payment Policy
We process your full accommodation charge for the duration of your stay at the time of booking. To check you in, we will require your photo ID (name registered on reservation) and the credit card that you used to book.
A credit card pre-authorisation of $100 per day will be processed upon arrival as a guarantee for any incidental charges incurred. Please note your bank will release any unused funds held after you check out (most banks normally process this within 5 – 7 business days).
Please note the following surcharges for reservation. AMEX at 3.10% DINERS at 3.10% and all other credit cards at .53%.
Cancellation Policy:
For standard reservations we understand that sometimes cancellations of the accommodation booking may be unavoidable – in the event a cancellation is required the following applies to your booking -
Greater than 7 days prior to your arrival date, a $50 cancellation fee per room applies,
Between 7 days and 48 hours prior to your arrival date, the first night’s room and tax charges apply,
Within 48 hours of your arrival, no refund is applicable, and full payment will be kept.
Cancellation of room nights once checked in incur full room night tariffs.
No refunds will be given for no shows and will incur all room nights and tax costs associated with the booking. A no-show is when you do not check-in on the day of your booking.
Any adjustments or changes made to your booking will incur a $55 administration fee.
Please contact the hotel directly for any cancellation or date change requests. Stay date change is subject to rate change and minimum length of stay condition.
Ferry Cancellation Policy
If your ferry booking to Rottnest is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, The Lodge Wadjemup will gladly change the date of your booking to a date of your choice subject to room type availability within 3 months of the initial booking. This booking will become non-refundable at this point in time.
If your ferry booking from Rottnest Island is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions and you are not able to leave Rottnest Island, The Lodge Wadjemup will extend your booking at a 50% discount on the Best Available Rate, with limited housekeeping services.
Force Majeure
Definition of Force Majeure Events
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a “Force Majeure Event” means any event or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Hotel, including but not limited to acts of God, flood, fire, earthquake, pandemic, epidemic, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, governmental restrictions, or orders, strikes, or other industrial actions that impact the Hotel’s ability to perform its obligations.Limitations of Liability During Force Majeure
If the Hotel is prevented, hindered, or delayed from fulfilling its obligations due to a Force Majeure Event, the Hotel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in providing services, including but not limited to room bookings, events, and other hotel services.Suspension and Termination of Obligations
In the occurrence of a Force Majeure Event, the Hotel reserves the right to suspend or terminate affected services without liability to the Guest. If the Force Majeure Event prevents the Hotel from fulfilling its obligations for an extended period, the Hotel may offer the Guest a rescheduled booking date or, where rescheduling is not feasible, provide a refund in line with applicable policies.Notice to Guests
The Hotel will make all reasonable efforts to notify Guests as soon as reasonably possible of any Force Majeure Event and will work to minimise any inconvenience to Guests.No Refunds or Compensation
Except as explicitly stated herein or required by law, the Hotel shall not be liable to pay any compensation, damages, or refunds to Guests for any losses arising directly or indirectly from a Force Majeure Event.
Check in and Check-out
A valid credit card with matching photo ID will be requested from the occupant of the room when checking in. A bond (Pre-authorisation) of $100 per night for incidental charges will be required at check-in. Note that we will not accept cash for the bond payment.
Check-in time is after 3:00pm. Check-out time is before 10.00am. Early check-ins or late check-outs are subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.
You are, and remain personally liable, to pay the total amount due on departure, unless prior settlement arrangements have been accepted by us.
You must return the key and/or security card for the hotel room at the time of your departure, and you agree to pay a charge for replacement of keys or cards you have failed to return.
Minors
Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or other adult who has parental rights and responsibilities for the under 18-year-old guest.
If any guest under the age of 18 years is not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or other adult as so described, we reserve the right to immediately cancel the guest’s booking with a refund of any deposit or payment made subject to our cancellation policy within our Terms and Conditions. The Company will not have any liability to the guest or any other person with respect to the booking in these circumstances.
Children under the age of 12 years using existing bedding can stay at no additional charge in the room with guardians / parents.
School leaver
Bookings from 'School Leavers' will not be accepted. The Lodge Wadjemup retains the right to cancel such bookings, refund any deposits made subject to our cancellation policy within our Terms and Conditions, and to evict individuals found to have checked into the hotel under these circumstances.
Smoking | Dishevelled State
The Lodge Wadjemup is strictly non-smoking. A $500 special cleaning fee will be levied in instances where this policy is not adhered to. Please adhere to the designated smoking areas only.
Furthermore, an additional cleaning fee may be applied if the accommodation room is left excessively untidy.
Parties
To respect other guests’ enjoyment, The Lodge Wadjemup has a no-party policy and reserves the right to evict persons from the hotel.
Medical Treatment and Evacuation
Guests are advised that The Lodge Wadjemup does not provide, nor will it cover the costs of, any medical treatment or emergency medical evacuation that may be required during their stay. Should a guest require medical assistance or evacuation from Rottnest Island, the responsibility for all associated costs lies solely with the guest. We recommend all guests have appropriate travel insurance to cover unforeseen medical expenses and evacuation services.
Damage / Stolen Items
Guests are liable for any damage to the hotel, caused by themselves or visiting guests.
The Lodge Wadjemup reserves the right to charge for the replacement cost of any items of hotel property that have been found to be removed from the room upon departure. Should you have interest in purchasing any item in your guest room please enquire directly with the hotel.
Third Party Products and Services
The Lodge Wadjemup sometimes includes third party products or services in special packages or hosts third party services at its hotels. The Lodge Wadjemup is not liable under any circumstances for any failure by third party providers to provide products or services, nor for any error, alteration or change of any kind made by those third-party providers following acceptance of a booking by them.
All third-party coupons, vouchers, receipts, and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by those third parties.
The Lodge Wadjemup does not warrant the accuracy of any information, statements or representations made by third parties and is not liable for any act or omission, default or negligence of any third-party provider.
Products or services obtained from this site (including vouchers may not be re-sold, on-supplied or transferred for commercial, consumer or promotional purposes, bundled with other goods and services or used for promotional purposes without “The Lodge Wadjemup’s” written permission.
Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates may be used to pay for accommodation and any costs that a guest is permitted to charge to their room account. Gift Certificate cannot be redeemed for cash.
Liability
By booking on thelodgewadjemup.com.au website or via phone/email on the Advance Purchase Rate Type, you agree to abide by the above booking terms and conditions.
